*itch itch* alamak..i feel like a lobster..or maybe like a
roasted pig..the two daes of kayaking's over! and me and cass are now one star kayakers..yay! i nvr tot kayaking had so many skills and levels..all along i tot there was onli the left right left right action onli.. *sua gu* anywayz, we learnt so much..and we felt so satisfied and proud when we got our certs! *beams*
our first lesson started on sat morning, and beside me and cass..guess who else was there!
mr kenny aka filipino bulter and

food comm! double yay! the three of us had great laughter arguing wif kenny when we were free..and its especially amusing to watch cass and kenny shoot chinese "cheng yu" at one another..haha..
so we were in pairs for dat dae to learn the basic strokes..
front and back, halting, draw strokes, the 360 degree turn..and of course, the capsize drill.
bleh..i was realli dreading dat cuz i was afriad to be stuck inside the kayak underwater..but each pair had to capsize at least once and follow the standard procedure..no choice..boohoo..so poor cass had to do thrice wif me cuz the moment i was underwater i blanked out and forgot to tap three times before coming up..hee.
o yah..and there was tis guy in our grp, roy, who kept calling the draw strokes "drawstrings"..haha!
sunday we were on our own and had to use the single kayaks..luckily it was made up of plastic and not fibre glass like the doubles if not there will be another dae of pricky feeling..ouch. the gd ting abt the single kayaks are dat u are more in control of it but its super sensitive and kept turning in circles so we took ages to reach our instructor..we saw plenty of
jellyfish,
crabs and roy claimed dat he saw a
squid!
thou i went home terribly sunburnt, aching and along with an injured knee on sun, kayaking is enjoyable and i definitely wanna go learn the higher levels nxt time! *beams*
o yah o yah..one more ting..
sat's dinner was a feast cuz me, cass and my sec sch fren xiaojing stuffed ourselves at mac..and following dat we went to sel's house for bbq! her house is so spacious and it has two tv sets! if i were to camp at her house i can sit infront of the tv for the whole dae..heh heh. but the live entertainment we got frm eddie and kenny abt antisocial prawns and eddie-ble food while barbequing was juz as entertaining! haha!
we also had our share of the idiot game and mahjong..im realli hooked on the game! its so fun and u get to work ur brain..i cant believe dat i used to tink dat mahjong was meant for the hokkien speaking uncles and aunties..opps. =X
and i realised dat besides mahjong shifu weishen, colin and eddie are also experts at mahjong! eddie was partnering rach lum but he was able to help me and cass oso! n colin was so relaxingly saeing
"throw tis lah throw tis lah" and throwing our tiles while both of us were starring blankly at him as if he was crazy..haha..den in the end we knew he was trying to help us to win..
it was great seeing long time no c mira and chi-ge and also the rest who were there! =) we shld haf more bbqs wif the same company the nxt time and nxt time and nxt time! food comm girlies are the besties! *hugz*
