enuf said, i'll let him intro himself!
Haha, Aaron here helping Gerie to add a new post cos its been ages since she updated lo!! Like dear said, i've just came back from driving to KL a week ago and tot maybe just share how driving to KL with my 2 other frens was. It was a good experience but I'll probably never do it again and here's why.
I drove a 1.3 litres Suzuki Swift and that was the first mistake of all, considering that in Malaysia Bo Zeng Hu ( no govt.), so we can easily drive like 140km/h to 160km/h. However when we reached that speed, the car starts getting real noisy and shaky, super uncomfortable!!
Lesson No. 1: Drive a bigger and more stable car.
The drive all the way to KL was abt close to 400km, so it took bout 4-5 hours till we finally reach our hotel. Me n my fren took turns but man was it tiring. In S'pore, Pasir Ris drive to Boon Lay also not so long ah, so we were really not used to it.
Lesson No. 2: Get more drivers to share the burden of the long drive., or be mentally prepared, its tiring.
Next was the $$ issue, cos me n my buddies haf a tight budget, so driving there was a costly mistake which we did not expect at all. Nearly cld not come back ah. First, the immigrations u gotta pay like SGD 5 which was still ok, but in Malaysia, killer. The toll charges came to near 120 ringgit to there n back, petrol even tho cheaper in Malaysia still cost bout 170 ringgit total. Goodness, I was so worried that we will not haf enuff $$ to come back I could not sleep.
Lesson No. 3: Unless u haf unlimited cash with you, just pay the travel agent one price for the bus tix which covers everything, then u have all the cash to spend without worrying.Phew tank God I've made it back safely, considering how many bad stories I've heard bout Malaysia. Nxt time, i wld just rather take a bus rather than keep worrying whether my car will be stolen/vandalised/wheels missing and all sorts of bad things running thru my head the whole time. I parked at the indoor carpark of the hotel which was quite safe but still can't help worrying constantly which sorta spoilt my trip a little. Well if anyone wans to find out more bout driving to KL, can come ask me or ask Gerie to ask me. Hee..
